Sleep Good At Night

Do you have sleep issues?  When I was a baby my Dad used to drive me around in the car to get me to fall asleep at night.  I guess you can say I’ve had sleep issues for a long time! : ) 

I’m 47-years old now and I still have vague memories of my Dad driving me around until I fell asleep.  I really do appreciate his heart to drive me around like that.

Today, I sleep good at night!  It’s not because somebody’s driving me around until I doze off though.  It’s because I’ve developed a relaxation routine that helps me sleep better.   

My weekly routine consists of prayer, reading bible scriptures, deep breathing, meditation, walking, journaling, lighting an evening candle, taking a hot shower, and using essential oils for relaxation.  I pick from these relaxation strategies throughout the day and use whatever I need.  And in the evening I put lavender oil on the soles of my feet, as needed, after I’m in bed for more relaxation and a good night’s sleep!
