Marketing… Kardashian Style: Kim, Kourtney & Khloe

Yesterday, I was standing in line at Elias’ snack bar inside the Los Angeles Superior Courthouse when I saw a picture of 3 beautiful women on the cover of the Los Angeles Times.  I had just finished handling a legal issue concerning one of my paternity cases and was getting my customary bag of popcorn before I left the building.

Now, back to these 3 beautiful women.  I had seen them before.  In fact, I have been seeing these women all over Los Angeles.  I recently saw them on a big billboard while shopping at the Americana in Glendale, I see them from time to time on the cover of magazines in the grocery store, I see them mentioned on the internet, and now they’re entering my life again at the Los Angeles Superior Courthouse of all places.

“Who are these women?”  That’s really the question I have every time I see them.  I recall having a conversation about them with a friend of mine whose an actress in Hollywood.  She gave me the 911 on the Kardashian sisters.  Their father was a defense attorney on the OJ Simpson criminal trial and their mother is now married to  Bruce Jenner.  Several of the sisters married professional athletes and they now have a successful reality tv show.

 As I did some quick research on them for this article, I found out that Kim Kardashian is one of the highest paid reality tv stars and is the celebrity face promoting  Her sisters Kourtney and Khloe are also busy making money.  All 3 sisters are now spokespersons for their clothing line called the Kardashian Kollection at Sears. 

What can we learn about marketing from the Kardashian sisters?  Well, I learned yesterday that getting your face and your message out in the marketplace over & over & over again really works!  It causes people to become familiar with you and your message.  And eventually if you’re offering something that fulfills their need or desire, they’re more likely to  buy from you. 

So, let me ask you, “How are you doing at getting your face & your message out in the marketplace consistently?  Where will we see YOU today?

Do you have a plan?  If so, are you working it?  If you don’t have a plan yet… no worries because you can always create one this weekend.  We’ll be in the last quarter of the year soon.  So, let’s get ready to have some 4th quarter marketing fun!
