Do you want to learn an easy way to refresh your spirit during the day? Well, here’s something simple that works for me. Take a moment to take 3 deep breaths. I encourage you to find an inspiring place to do this in. But, if you’re somewhere not so inspiring just close your eyes and imagine being on your favorite beach or in a beautiful garden somewhere.
I use a simple 17-second meditation technique you can use anywhere. Here it is:
1. Close your eyes;
2. Breathe deeply 3 times (Inhale through your nostrils. Hold it for a second. Then, exhale through your nostrils);
3. As you breathe, focus on your breath.
It’s that simple!
Today, I had the opportunity to meditate next to my favorite waterfall in downtown LA. I love to park in the building that houses this beautiful waterfall when I’m handling a case in the downtown LA courthouse. I purposely take an escalator that lets me glimpse this waterfall as I leave the building. Then, on my way back to my car, I’ll take a moment to sit next to my favorite waterfall and meditate. It’s so refreshing to my spirit!
